Guidelines for Oklahoma Medical Marijuana

Licenses for Growers, Processors, and Dispensaries

The Oklahoma State Department of Health offers licenses for medical marijuana growers, processors, and dispensaries.

The difference between these three categories is as follows:

  • Commercial growers - Allowed to sell cannabis only to a licensed processor or retailer. There are no limits on how much pot a licensed grower can cultivate.
  • Processors - Can take cannabis plants and process or distill these plants into edibles, concentrates, and other forms of cannabis for consumer use. These individuals may sell their manufactured products to a licensed retailer or another licensed processor.
  • Dispensaries - Can sell medical marijuana or other cannabis-related products provided by licensed processors. Only medical marijuana patients and caregivers can purchase products at dispensaries.
